Album Notes & Community Reviews

Conceived as a direct homage to 1960s psychedelic culture, Anton Newcombe expanded the ensemble's garage rock origins into sprawling raga-rock territories. The expansive orchestration incorporates non-western instrumentation, mellotrons, and extensive drone techniques. The demanding studio process solidified Newcombe's reputation as a mercurial but highly influential figure within the modern psychedelic revival.
