Album Notes & Community Reviews
Recorded following the tragic passing of their founding drummer Jon Brookes, the veteran British outfit delivers an incredibly warm, deeply soulful album. 'Modern Nature' leans heavily into bright, 1970s-inspired soul, Hammond organ grooves, and lush backing choirs. The record functions as a beautiful, highly melodic, and uplifting celebration of life rather than a sombre meditation on grief.
