Album Notes & Community Reviews

Featuring an unusual instrumentation that heavily integrates the trombone and guitar, this record highlights the drummer's role as a sophisticated tonal colorist rather than just a timekeeper. The compositions are intricate and moody, often shifting rapidly in texture and dynamic intensity. 'A Different Journey' exemplifies the nuanced, chamber-oriented approach to West Coast post-bop.
