Album Notes & Community Reviews

Utilizing Ross Bagdasarian's famous variable-speed recording technique, this novelty classic became an instant, enduring holiday staple. The album applies the high-pitched, chaotic Chipmunks persona to traditional carols and seasonal pop songs, representing a massive commercial peak for early 1960s studio trickery and children's entertainment.
