Album Notes & Community Reviews

Operating firmly within the eccentric fringes of the British indie pop scene, the duo constructed an intensely dense, surreal debut. 'Is That a Fish on Your Shoulder or Are You Just Pleased to See Me?' violently collides lo-fi post-punk sensibilities with elaborate sound collages and deeply quirky, progressive pop structures. The record stands as a remarkably inventive, highly satirical piece of late-eighties psychedelic absurdity.
