God Save The Clientele
by The Clientele
The London band enlisted producer Mark Nevers to record in Nashville, resulting in a noticeably brighter, more country-tinged iteration of their hazy chamber pop. The album incorporates pedal steel and slightly more upbeat, 1960s-indebted melodies while retaining Alasdair MacLean's signature poetic, autumnal lyricism.
