Album Notes & Community Reviews

The Portland alternative rock act debuted with a remarkably raw, fiercely energetic fusion of incredibly fuzzy garage rock and swirling 1960s neo-psychedelia. Courtney Taylor-Taylor's highly sarcastic, deeply deadpan vocal delivery perfectly contrasts the incredibly loud, heavily distorted guitar feedback and highly hypnotic, repetitive rhythms. The wildly confident, deeply psychedelic recording immediately established their signature, highly stylish aesthetic prior to their massive major-label success.
