Shedding the bouncy 'blonde pop' label of their early years, the Welsh outfit leaned heavily into the swirling, effects-driven sounds of the shoegaze movement. 'Erotica' cloaks Andrea Lewis's sweet, melodic vocals in dense layers of distorted guitars and atmospheric production. Despite the successful stylistic pivot and strong songwriting, the album struggled to gain commercial traction and proved to be their final studio release.
