Album Notes & Community Reviews

Acting as a stylistic outlier in their catalog, 'Fanfare for the Comic Muse' presents a decidedly raw, guitar-driven take on R.E.M.-influenced college rock. Neil Hannon would completely disown this debut and reinvent the project with the sophisticated orchestral pop that later defined his career.
