Album Notes & Community Reviews

Neil Hannon's ambitious concept album chronicles a single, romantic day spent by two lovers in a seaside town, heavily referencing classical literature, French cinema, and philosophy. The music shuns contemporary rock entirely, opting instead for lush orchestral arrangements, jaunty classical motifs, and Hannon's sophisticated, theatrical baritone.
