Album Notes & Community Reviews
Recorded amidst the dissolution of Mark E. Smith's marriage to guitarist Brix Smith, 'Extricate' is a highly energetic and unusually melodic entry in The Fall's vast discography. The album introduces polished alternative dance rhythms to their classic post-punk sound, resulting in a playful yet cryptic and bittersweet indie rock record.
