Album Notes & Community Reviews

Mark E. Smith's twenty-sixth studio album features a remarkably stable backing band, primarily consisting of his American wife Eleni Poulou on keyboards. The record injects a surprisingly focused, high-energy garage rock stomp back into the group's chaotic post-punk, highlighted by the propulsive, 11-minute krautrock jam '50 Year Old Man'. It was lauded by critics as one of the sharpest, most coherent late-career entries in their massive discography.
