Album Notes & Community Reviews
Released during a highly turbulent period for Mark E. Smith's legendary post-punk institution, the album infuses their standard repetitive guitar squall with prominent 1990s dance and techno beats. While maintaining Smith's abrasive, hyper-literate cynicism, the record highlights the heavy stylistic input of keyboardist and then-wife Brix Smith during her brief return to the band.
