Album Notes & Community Reviews
Recorded amid the burgeoning UK dance scene, Mark E. Smith's perpetually evolving group integrated contemporary techno rhythms and digital sequencing into their trademark jagged post-punk sound. The result is an uncharacteristically buoyant and successful entry in their vast discography, highlighted by sharp lyrical takedowns of mass media and modern leisure.
