Album Notes & Community Reviews
On their fourth full-length, the prolific San Francisco quartet noticeably reigns in the chaotic, lo-fi garage rock energy of their earlier work. Recorded in a proper studio with producer Phil Manley, the album focuses heavily on pristine, 1960s-inspired jangle pop, featuring remarkably clean guitar interplay and Tim Cohen's deep, crooning vocal delivery. The project highlights a significant maturation in their songwriting, prioritizing melancholic, atmospheric balladry.
