Album Notes & Community Reviews

Deeply influenced by the early 80s 4AD roster, Italian duo The Frozen Autumn successfully resurrects the icy, heavily synthesized atmosphere of classic coldwave on their debut. 'Pale Awakening' surrounds Diego Merletto's deeply resonant vocals with highly programmed drum machines and profoundly melancholic, swirling keyboard textures. It quickly established them as a foundational, highly revered act within the modern European darkwave revival.
