Album Notes & Community Reviews

Featuring intricate, highly textured arrangements featuring Bill Evans, this collection blurs the boundaries between jazz improvisation and classical chamber music. The leader utilizes unusual instrumental voicings, including the vibraphone alongside sweeping strings, to construct a moody, deeply cinematic atmosphere. The album is a masterful execution of ambitious Third Stream principles.
