Highlighted by its incredibly successful, anti-war title track, the Canadian band's sixth album pushed them into a heavier, more riff-oriented rock territory. Despite the massive international breakthrough, the sessions were marred by intense internal friction, leading directly to the departure of visionary lead guitarist and primary songwriter Randy Bachman shortly after the release.
