Album Notes & Community Reviews

In the wake of primary songwriter Randy Bachman's sudden departure, the Canadian hitmakers regrouped by bringing in guitarists Kurt Winter and Greg Leskiw. Defying expectations of a commercial slump, the revised lineup immediately scored a massive hit with the harmony-rich, socially conscious title track. The record ultimately demonstrated Burton Cummings' ability to seamlessly carry the band's formidable pop-rock legacy forward.
