Album Notes & Community Reviews

Formed as a supergroup featuring Calvin Johnson of Beat Happening and Doug Martsch of Built to Spill, this debut perfectly captures the loose, highly collaborative spirit of the Olympia indie scene. The album is defined by the stark, deadpan vocal interplay between Johnson's booming baritone and Martsch's higher-register melodies over jagged lo-fi rock.
