Largely ignored upon its initial independent release before gaining cult acclaim, Sean O'Hagan's meticulously crafted project resurrects the lush, highly orchestrated pop of the late 1960s. Heavily indebted to Brian Wilson's work on 'Pet Sounds', the album is a masterpiece of retro-futuristic chamber pop, dripping with string arrangements and melancholic melodies.
