Album Notes & Community Reviews

Serving as Curtis Mayfield's final studio album with the legendary vocal trio before embarking on his solo career, this release expertly bridges their classic Chicago soul harmonies with grittier, socially conscious funk elements. The dense, heavily orchestrated production heavily utilizes fuzz guitar and prominent bass lines, anticipating the cinematic psychedelic soul movement. It represents a flawless, sophisticated conclusion to the most revered era of the group's history.
