Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded at Rudy Van Gelder's Englewood Cliffs studio, the project eschews the typical brass accompaniments found on his previous LPs. The stripped-down trio format relies entirely on Quentin Warren's guitar and Donald Bailey's drums to drive the organist's deeply swinging, blues-inflected improvisations.
