Album Notes & Community Reviews

Marking a distinct shift away from the sprawling, psychedelic mysticism of their earlier masterworks, the legendary Scottish folk ensemble embraced a surprisingly accessible, rock-oriented sound. The highly eclectic arrangements incorporate Caribbean rhythms, straightforward pop structures, and traditional folk elements, displaying a lighter, almost whimsical tone. The stylistic pivot alienated portions of their core fanbase but remains a fascinating, deeply varied chapter in their discography.
