Album Notes & Community Reviews
Transitioning deeper into heavy funk and socially conscious songwriting, the family group delivered an impeccably smooth and deeply grooving set. Featuring their iconic, slow-burning rendition of Carole King's 'It's Too Late' and the driving anthem 'Work to Do', the album highlights Ronald Isley's silky vocals over the band's increasingly prominent rock instrumentation. It marks a crucial evolutionary point just prior to their massive mid-70s commercial peak.
