Album Notes & Community Reviews

Comprised entirely of radical reimaginings of contemporary rock and pop songs by white artists, this album conceptually flips the historical script of white acts covering Black R&B. The group deeply transforms tracks by Jimi Hendrix, Stephen Stills, and Bob Dylan into sprawling, fuzz-drenched progressive soul workouts. It solidified their mastery of rock instrumentation and laid the groundwork for their massive '3 + 3' era.
