Album Notes & Community Reviews

During their brief but potent tenure at Motown, The Isley Brothers recorded 'This Old Heart of Mine', a flawless execution of the label's Holland-Dozier-Holland hit factory sound. While Ronald Isley's smooth tenor easily handled the sophisticated pop-soul arrangements, the brothers maintained the fierce, gospel-inflected vocal intensity that defined their earlier R&B hits. It remains a sparkling highlight of their mid-60s output.
