Album Notes & Community Reviews

Attempting to expand their horizons beyond the raw, harmonica-driven R&B of their breakthrough 'Bloodshot', the Boston sextet offered a slightly more polished, diverse set of roots-rock for their fourth studio album. The recording introduces broader instrumentation and more nuanced, pop-oriented songwriting while retaining the gritty, bar-band swagger of Peter Wolf's vocal delivery. Though it initially confused some hardcore fans, it highlights the band's formidable versatility.
