Album Notes & Community Reviews
Pivoting from their blues-centric roots, The J. Geils Band embraced a polished, radio-friendly sound on 'Love Stinks'. The album's title track became an enduring anthem of romantic cynicism, bolstered by catchy keyboard hooks and driving rock instrumentation. This stylistic shift paved the way for the band's massive commercial dominance in the subsequent decade.
