Album Notes & Community Reviews

Driven by the massive success of their Elvis Costello-esque hit single 'Back of My Hand', The Jags rushed their debut album, 'Evening Standards', into production. The record is a quintessential artifact of the late-1970s British power pop boom, packed with fast-paced, jangly guitar hooks and cynical, lovelorn lyricism. Despite strong initial momentum, the band struggled to replicate the album's success on subsequent releases.
