Album Notes & Community Reviews
Stepping further away from their seminal alt-country roots, the Minneapolis outfit fully embraced polished pop-rock sensibilities. Produced by Bob Ezrin, the record incorporates slick synthesizer layers and drum loops, leaning heavily into Gary Louris's penchant for infectious, Beatles-esque vocal melodies.
