Album Notes & Community Reviews

As their final studio album produced by Steve Albini, 'Down' exhibits a slightly cleaner, more tightly coiled aesthetic than the band's preceding masterpieces, while maintaining their signature rhythmic muscle. Duane Denison's jagged guitar work and David Yow's unhinged vocal delivery continue to showcase the formidable, precise aggression that made them legends of 1990s noise rock.
