Album Notes & Community Reviews

Released in 2010 as their fifth studio album, 'April Uprising' finds the Australian roots rock band exploring themes of personal discovery and political revolution. The album's title was inspired by an 1876 Bulgarian uprising that John Butler discovered while tracing his ancestry on a television documentary series, an experience that heavily influenced the record's dynamic folk rock arrangements.
