Album Notes & Community Reviews

The former Pentangle guitarist leads an incredibly accomplished acoustic ensemble through a pristine collection of traditional madrigals and ancient British folklore. Featuring the enchanting vocals of Jacqui McShee alongside intricate tablas and recorders, the music achieves a stunning synthesis of medieval classical disciplines and Eastern-inflected folk. It remains an absolute high point of the 1970s acoustic folk-baroque movement.
