Album Notes & Community Reviews

Released at the absolute commercial zenith of the American folk revival, this highly polished LP demonstrates the clean-cut harmonies and upbeat acoustic strumming that made the group a collegiate sensation. While purists criticized their sanitized approach to traditional material, the record's massive chart success unequivocally broadened the mainstream market for acoustic roots music.
