Album Notes & Community Reviews

As the massive, second installment of Ray Davies鈥檚 ambitious 'Preservation' theatrical song-cycle, 'Preservation Act 2' presents a scathing, sprawling critique of modern British society and political corruption. While often criticized for its bloated narrative structure, the album remains a quintessential Kinks work, brimming with melodic brilliance, sharp social commentary, and theatrical, music-hall-influenced flourishes.
