Album Notes & Community Reviews

Serving as the final installment in their highly theatrical mid-70s rock opera phase, Ray Davies utilized this conceptual project to explore themes of childhood rebellion and the authoritarian British school system. The music occasionally harkens back to their raw, early R&B roots, contrasting with the elaborate, nostalgic narrative.
