Album Notes & Community Reviews
Expanding on Ray Davies's mid-70s theatrical inclinations, 'Soap Opera' follows the conceptual narrative of a rock star who trades places with an ordinary working-class man. The project blends music hall charm with satirical pop-rock, reflecting Davies's career-long fascination with the mundanity and eccentricities of English domestic life.
