Album Notes & Community Reviews
Marking the end of their commercially revitalized tenure with Arista Records, 'Word of Mouth' features the final drumming contributions from long-time member Mick Avory before his departure. Ray Davies' trademark observational songwriting is framed within the polished, synthesiser-tinged arena rock production favored during the era. The album houses the nostalgic hit 'Do It Again', sustaining their relevance on American mainstream rock radio.
