Album Notes & Community Reviews

The Klezmatics recorded their debut album live at Radio Free Berlin during the first Heimatkl盲nge festival, after producer Ben Mandelson brought the New York band to Berlin. Its title, Yiddish for silence equals death, invokes the ACT UP slogan, and five tracks feature the Les Mis茅rables Brass Band alongside the group's reworking of traditional repertoire including the labour song 'Ale Brider'.
