For their final studio album, The Knife delivered 'Shaking the Habitual', a sprawling, challenging, and overtly political work. The album abandons the pop structures of 'Silent Shout' for extended drones, polyrhythmic percussion, and abrasive textures, exploring queer theory and anti-capitalism. It is a demanding but rewarding listen that deconstructs the duo's own sound and identity.
