Album Notes & Community Reviews

For their fourth studio effort, The Kooks undertook a significant sonic pivot, largely steered by the influence of hip-hop producer Inflo. 'Listen' moves away from their familiar Britpop-indebted sound, embracing a more rhythmic and experimental palette rich with funk, gospel, and R&B elements. This bold reinvention showcased the band's willingness to evolve and explore new musical landscapes.
