Album Notes & Community Reviews

Ending an eight-year hiatus, Alex Turner (Arctic Monkeys) and Miles Kane reunite their orchestral-pop supergroup, enlisting Owen Pallett to arrange massive, sweeping string sections. The album trades the 1960s Scott Walker homages of their debut for a woozier, deeply sensual, and heavily 1970s-indebted sound. It is a highly polished, swaggering celebration of vintage baroque pop and lyrical romanticism.
