Operating at the dark, hallucinogenic fringes of the European cassette culture, this early full-length crystallized the Anglo-Dutch collective's deeply strange, synth-driven aesthetic. 'Curse' blends cheap analog drum machines and dissonant keyboard noise with Edward Ka-Spel's distinctively theatrical, apocalyptic poetry and unsettling vocal delivery. The incredibly raw, unpolished recording established their sprawling mythology and highly devoted cult following within the experimental electronic underground.
