Album Notes & Community Reviews
Following up their 3-CD magnum opus, Stephin Merritt delivered 'i', a conceptual album where every song title begins with the letter 'I'. The sound is more acoustic and chamber-focused than their synth-heavy work, featuring Merritt's signature baritone and deadpan wit. it is a witty, heartbreaking examination of ego and romance.
