Album Notes & Community Reviews

Before transitioning fully to electronic pop, Stephin Merritt recorded 'The Wayward Bus' with vocalist Susan Anway, resulting in a highly acoustic, Phil Spector-influenced indie pop gem. The album utilizes a lush 'Wall of Sound' approach, delivering incredibly melodic, romantic, and warmly bittersweet narratives.
