Album Notes & Community Reviews

Riding high on the monumental success of their number-one title track, The McCoys' debut album bridges the gap between raw garage rock energy and highly polished, infectious bubblegum pop. Featuring a young Rick Derringer on guitar and lead vocals, the record comprises high-spirited covers of rock and roll and R&B hits tailored for the teenage dance market. It remains an enduring artifact of the mid-60s American pop explosion.
