Album Notes & Community Reviews

The incredibly prolific sludge metal pioneers surprisingly enlist Butthole Surfers members Paul Leary and JD Pinkus for this highly eccentric, remarkably melodic studio effort. 'Hold It In' perfectly balances the Melvins' signature, terrifyingly heavy down-tuned riffs with wonderfully bizarre, slightly psychedelic alternative rock structures and quirky vocal performances. The record is a profoundly weird, wildly energetic, and fiercely heavy addition to their massive catalog.
