Album Notes & Community Reviews

As their final studio album before a lengthy hiatus, 'New Directions' finds the legendary New Orleans rhythm section expanding their deep funk blueprint. The band incorporates heavier horn sections and subtle elements of reggae and rock, pushing beyond their traditional instrumental grooves. Despite internal fractures during recording, the musicianship remains incredibly tight and powerfully syncopated.
