Album Notes & Community Reviews

Produced by Carter, 'Careful' is the sophomore effort from the Los Angeles-based new wave outfit The Motels. The album refines their quirky, atmospheric approach to pop rock, heavily anchored by Martha Davis's distinctive, emotionally charged vocal delivery. It successfully built upon their debut's momentum, yielding moderate international chart success and solidifying their presence in the early 1980s alternative pop landscape.
